Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico in a family who was devoted to music. Her early years were spent listening to traditional music, old boleros as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves the operas and tangos along with all dramatic performances. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her, she started more serious training in singing at 16, under the direction of the renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. The School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was part of a variety of opera choruses and chamber ensembles. After 2000, she emigrated back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007 she moved to her home in southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a teacher and musician she has volunteered for numerous community projects because of her love and passion for music. Ana was also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as well as the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for having the chance to share her passion and enthusiasm for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others as she hopes to instill a sense of particularly among the younger generation to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
